Machine Operator

What will you be doing?
In this role, you will work in our Private Label (Packaging) department in Barneveld, where you play a key part in ensuring a smooth, safe and high-quality production process. We are looking for a (junior) Machine Operator with an affinity for the (organic) food industry, available to start as soon as possible.
You will join the “dream team” at DO IT Organic, where making mistakes is part of learning and personal development is actively encouraged.
As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for:
Testing metal detectors and carrying out product checks after each production run
Starting up and preparing machines for the next product
Monitoring the production process and ensuring the correct film and labels are used
Supervising colleagues during cleaning and line changeovers
Checking box information, labels and product weights
Resolving minor faults on the packaging machine (or ensuring they are resolved)
Overseeing machine maintenance
Supervising Packaging Operators
Carrying out health & safety and personnel-related tasks (safe and hygienic working)
Producing in line with customer agreements and production planning
You will always work together with another Machine Operator on the line, supported by packers, box stackers and a feeder.
In this role, you will mainly work evening shifts from 4:30 pm to 8:30 pm. We are looking for someone who is flexible and willing to be available on an on-call basis for four evenings per week. During the initial period, the number of evening shifts may be slightly lower.
Please note that evening working hours may be extended, depending on operational needs.
To reach your contracted hours, you may also work day shifts, for example by starting earlier in the day and continuing into the evening shift.
What will you bring?
A hands-on mentality and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Accuracy, a results-driven mindset and strong problem-solving skills
A good command of the Dutch or English language (Polish is a strong advantage)
Availability in working evening hours and a proactive attitude towards team planning
Technical aptitude and a genuine interest in learning everything about the machines
