Junior Category Manager (Purchaser)
Join DO IT Organic and further your development into a Category Manager in the organic food sector! In this junior role, you will learn the purchasing profession in practice and within a short time you will take the responsibility of your own product category. You will work closely with Sales, Quality and Finance and will directly contribute to a 100% organic food chain.
What will you be doing?
In this junior position, you will quickly progress to a fully-fledged Category Manager. After a thorough onboarding period, you will independently manage your own category and make decisions on purchasing, suppliers and pricing agreements. You will also analyse market developments and identify opportunities for your category.
As a junior Category Manager, you will be responsible for:
Purchasing organic products and maintaining supplier relationships.
Collecting and sharing prices, availability and lead times with the sales team.
Managing article data and ensuring systems are up to date.
Preparing and following up on purchase orders and draft contracts.
Analysing market developments and identifying opportunities for your category.
Actively participating in negotiations and quickly taking these on independently.
Collaborating with internal teams such as Sales, Quality and Finance to ensure smooth processes.
You will join a close-knit Category Management team that works closely with Sales, Quality and Finance. The atmosphere is informal, with short lines of communication and plenty of room for initiative. You will receive intensive guidance from a Senior Category Manager so you can grow quickly in your role.
We work full-time (40 hours) at our office in Barneveld and offer flexible start times between 07:30 and 09:00 to suit your schedule.

Higher education?
You are available for 40 hours per week and willing to work at our Barneveld office.
You have an excellent command of the English language.
You have a clear commercial drive.
You have a proactive attitude and are eager to learn new things.
